Batida is a specialist cake and confectionary cafe, there’s six of these stores scattered across Warsaw. One was near my dinner location so I popped in for a quick taste before I made my way back to London. The lovely lime Letnia Chwila costs 12,50 zł and caught my eye. According to Google Translate it’s a mint mousse, strawberry insert, feulletine with white chocolate and vanilla sponge. To be honest, I’m not sure I could get (or appreciate) the flavours when I had it at the time. It was good, but without knowing what was in it at the time, it tasted a little muddled. It wasn’t quite perfectly fresh and the glaze was a touch heavy too. Or maybe I just inhaled it too fast. But nonetheless it’s a cute as a button dessert and worth trying out, there’s heaps to pick from.
