This Chinta Ria Soul is a foodcourt version of their St Kilda restaurant, which I haven’t yet had a chance to visit, but am keen to as I always am up for some decent Malaysian food to remind myself of my roots. The menu is Malaysian styled and is pretty befitting of the location (the Emporium food court) with the dishes coming out fast and of good quality.
I ordered the nasi rendang which was a dry beef curry served with rice, peanuts, egg and archar. I wasn’t sure what the latter was, but guessing it was the pickle type things and they were okay. The rendang was on par or slightly above the usual food court standards with the right aromas and the beef being sufficiently tender. In-line with the other offerings here it’s certainly above average.
