A Brit friend and I had a tea-nsy bit of time before our dinner, so we decided to hop along to the Tea Salon for a spot of drink and a bite of scone beforehand. As the website suggests The Tea Salon is a whimsical haven for “fashion enthusiasts” and although I couldn’t be anything further from audience I agreed it was a most quaint spot and worthy of a wee sit down. No that whimsical though. The tea we had wasn’t very good but the bakery items were pleasant.
There’s a wide range of tea on offer and perhaps we un-lucked out on a poor choice. In any case I’d like to expect all the teas to be good if they’re offering it and charging six bucks per serving. Divided by two people it’s okay though, the plates and the scene are cute. Our choice of tea was the bamboo bamboo and this tasted wooden indeed. The scones were nice enough but pricey. Tea Salon is a bit of a shopping mall novelty and not much more than that. But it is pretty.
