A friend and I headed to the mildly hidden Gekkazan, an authentic Japanese eatery tucked away in Postal Lane of the GPO. We were happy with our two dishes, which were well presented with clean flavours and quality ingredients. Mine was the Sukiyaki beef donburi special ($14.90) with came with rice, vegetables and salad.
A little on the pricer side and could have done with a wee bit more meat but sufficiently filling and a great little lunch spot. Service was the usual high standard you get at Japanese places and the hand rolls look particularly traditional with the fancy wrapping that separates the nori to keep it crunchy. Gotta try that one the next time.
