As my British friends have taught me, I grabbed a “cheeky Nandos” for a quick takeaway meal utilising some extreme couponing on the way. I went with the quarter chicken and two sides of the sweet potato fries as well as the peri-peri fries. I had gathered enough Peri Peri points to finally bank them out for some sweet bonus nibbles. Winning.
In the case of the fries vs. fries game I think I still prefer the peri-peri chips, with its wicked, tangy seasoning which is as sporadically sprinkled as it is good. The sweet potato chips were fair by all means, and my friends preferred these to the usual options seen in the Grill’d chips platter. Good coating and usual sweet potato goodness. I felt the chicken meat was good if not a tad boring. The seasoning I got was the mild and it only really had a light basting so not quite as flavoursome as I would have liked.
